Nissan Investigates Starting Problems With Leaf EVs

 

Owners of the first mass-market electric vehicle are experiencing delays, but now some are faced with the car's first mechanical glitch, Nissan confirms.

Some Nissan Leaf owners, in both the United States and Japan, have reported occasional starting problems with their vehicles, and Nissan has diagnosed the car’s air conditioning system as the source of the problem. Nissan isn’t sure if the flaw is software- or hardware-related, and they’re not planning a recall since the issue isn’t safety-related.
